My yoga studies began in college as I sought a way to move my body and nurture my mental well-being. After graduation, I discovered Mysore-style Ashtanga yoga, which quickly became a profound part of my life. Within a year of dedicated practice, I traveled to Mysore, India, in 2018 to study with Sharath Jois. This transformative experience at the source of Ashtanga yoga laid the foundation for my understanding of the practice and deepened my commitment to it.
Upon my return, I began learning how to adjust and teach in a traditional Mysore setting. Years later, I moved back to my home state of Colorado and started teaching at the Ashtanga Collective in Boulder. In July 2022, I had the privilege of attending a month-long teacher's intensive with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, which further enriched my understanding of yoga.
With over a decade of personal yoga practice and nearly five years of teaching experience, I have cultivated an evolving practice and a deepening understanding of Indian traditions and their influence in the West. I am profoundly grateful to all the teachers who have guided me along this path and feel honored to share the teachings as I have learned them with a wider community.
